Our History

Didsbury Theatre School was founded in South Manchester over 25 years ago.

Students have danced at The Royal Albert Hall, Sadler’s Wells and Disneyland Paris and been filmed for the BBC, ITV and TV and advertising campaigns.

In recent years the school has raised over £5000 for Wood Street Mission, a Manchester based charity that supports families living in poverty in our local area.

The school provides learning opportunities in a range of performing arts disciplines, either for fun or development towards a professional career. Many of our students have pursued successful careers in the performing arts in the UK and overseas.

We teach Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Drama, Singing, Musical Theatre, Hip Hop and Singing for 2-18 year olds in a friendly and professional environment. Every decision we make is taken in the best interests of our students. As well as acquiring technical ability, students grow in confidence, keep fit and improve their focus and concentration.

Our students build life-long friendships in a positive environment and most importantly, they have a lot of fun.

Thank you for your interest in Didsbury Theatre School, you are about to experience something truly magical!
